Know Yourself Heal Yourself

My original intention in writing this book was to provide a step by step guide to the healing arts, expressed in relatively simple terms and intended for people wishing to develop their healing potential, but lacking a suitable teacher. As the book began to take shape I realised that much of the information in it would be of equal interest to many individuals seeking to understand themselves and the reason for their ailments.

Those who study and act on the information they find here may learn how to heal thenselves - mentaly, physically or spiritually - for both cause and cure of many health problems we are prone to lie deep within the recesses of the mind. This book could well be subtiitled 'Healing the Whole Self'. I therefore present the book in two parts. The first is for those who simply wish to acquire a greater understanding of their physical and subtle bodies and the reasons why they react to certain situations or conditions.

The final chapters are intended for those who desire to serve others by practicing the healing art themselves. There are, however. strict laws governing the diagnosis of a health condition and the prescription of substances. Only those who are medically qualified may do so and anyone serving in the natural healing field must observe those laws at all times. Failure to do so may well result in prosecution.

Within the Mystery Schools of ancient civilisation, healing was once a very precise science - a sacred art dealt with every aspect of the human psyche amd was pracised only by those healer-priests who had studied and trained over a great many years, undergoing, in the process, many difficult initiations.

All healing was undertaken in the full knowlage that we are primarily spirit, incarnate for a period of time with a physical form, and disharmony within the latter reflecting a state of inbalance between the higher and lower wills.

A new age lies ahead of us, and much that was once held sacred may now be shared widely in a bid to raise the general level of consciousness. New mysteries appertaining to the further advancement of humanity will gradually replace that which is outmoded, and the human race will continue along the path toward perfection. Although the healing art has long been considered to be the perogative of the priesthood, many who once served in the healing temples of those ancient civilisations are incarnate once more, and may now seek to reactivate their long-forgotten skills.
